The Digital Workplace of the Year Awards, produced by Digital Workplace Group (DWG), celebrate those organizations and practitioners who have excelled in creating well-executed, high-performing digital workplace environments.
We are excited to announce a new category for 2023. DWG’s Digital Workplace Leader of the Year award has now been replaced by Digital Workplace Team of the Year, to recognize the hard work of all those involved. Learn more about this new category.
The three categories are:
- Digital Workplace of the Year
- Modern Intranet of the Year
- Digital Workplace Team of the Year

Eligibility criteria
and entry requirements
The entry and judgement criteria for these global awards are underpinned by the collective knowledge and experience of DWG research, benchmarking and expertise plus extensive industry insights. Before you enter your organization, please take note of the following:
- Don’t feel your entry needs to be perfect to enter!
- All organizations entering any category must have at least 1,000 employees.
- No students, consultants or vendors can submit an entry, unless on behalf of a client organization.
- Incomplete entries cannot be accepted.
- The submission deadline is midnight (BST) on May 12, 2023.
- We may contact you for clarification when reviewing submitted entries.
- We will only announce those organizations and individuals who have been shortlisted.
- By entering, you give DWG full permission to use your winning entry in promotions, publications and presentations. Winners will have the opportunity to review and sign-off on all such public media productions before publication.
- Previous winners of the main awards (i.e. Digital Workplace or Modern Intranet of the Year) are welcome to re-enter the awards 3 years on from their win so long as they demonstrate significant progress since the previous entry. Category winners may re-enter at any time.
- All entrants to Modern Intranet of the Year must include a minimum of one screenshot in their submission in order to be considered.
- We accept entries from members and non-members, and you can be located anywhere in the world. Please note that we are not accepting award entries from Russian organizations at present.
- Winners will be announced live in an online event on September 5, 2023, 08.00 PST / 11.00 EST / 16.00 GMT / 17.00 CET - details of how to register will be available nearer the time.

DWG’s Director of Research, Elizabeth Marsh, who leads on the awards programme, comments: "In 2022, entrants to DWG's Digital Workplace and Modern Intranet awards have impressed us with their unrelenting focus on delivering exceptional digital employee experiences for the post-pandemic workforce. There are some cutting-edge practices and pioneering approaches that we hope will inspire practitioners across our industry. The judging panel have a tough job ahead picking winners from the 2022 cohort – making the shortlist is no small achievement in itself and we congratulate all those organizations listed!"
The shortlisted entries were reviewed by the judging panel, which comprises DWG’s Nancy Goebel, Susan Quain from Fidelity International*, Priya Thummalapalli from Intuit and Christy Punch from Liberty Mutual.
*Note: Susan Quain was recused from judging the Fidelity Investments’ entry.
